That is Amazing (WoW)!

Things that interest me. Mostly video games.

How to not quit blogging!

I know, I said I was done. I really meant it. Luckily in my farewell post I said I might be back. Michael Jordan said the same thing like 45 times before he actually retired.

I have kept writing here and there, mostly about non-wow stuff. Some blogging, mostly fiction stuff that I have alwasy enjoyed, but will never publish. I wanted to stay away, I really did.

There is just too much awesomeness going on.

Also, for some reason Keeva‘s recent issues with copyright infringement have really motivated me to write publicly again. I don’t know why, but while I was reading these posts, I was really missing blogging for myself.

So, on to important things. I have specced (and sometimes respecced) all 5 of my 80s and have done differing amounts of raiding/heroics on each of them. Below is my impressions, and feelings on each of the classes I play at max level. Not all of this is good though.

Sfcnez – Hunter – Beast Master: First, let me say, I am happy to be able to be a Beast Master again. I think one of the main reasons I was put off of raiding with my hunter is that I couldn’t raid as my preferred spec and remain competitive or as useful as other hunters. I am happy to be BM again. That being said, I don’t like focus. Really don’t! For some reason it feels like i am spamming buttons now, more than ever. At the end of the day though, the hunter who raids with us is still pulling many k of dps, so maybe i am doing it wrong.

Vanddora – Warlock – Demonology: Ok, obviously soul shards are gone. I have done limited things with this toon, but she seems like a lot more fun to play. I went with demo for the simple reason of…wait for it…I Like Demo! I have always had fun changing into a magnificent demon, and hellfiring my way to glory. Now, it is better since i can move while channeling Hellfire. BTW, for you warlocks out there who love hellfire the way I do, be careful, just because you jump does not mean Hellfire is not still ticking down your health. The change where Summon Stones, Soul Wells, and demons don’t cost anything but mana is nice. I also really like the two temporary demons that I can cast down to wreak unholy vengeance upon my foes. I will be doing more with her in the near future.

Phlam – Death Knight – Blood: I specced blood. I admit, getting rid of the defense stat really made this choice a no-brainer for me. I am tired of 15 minute queues while trying to gear up. Insta Queue is much better. Tanking with a DK is really pretty easy. I will admit, there have been a couple of oh-shit moments when i went to utilize one of my Warrior talents that wasn’t there, because, well because my death knight is not a warrior. I really cannot compare pre-4.0.1 to post, as I have not tried DPSing with the DK. I can make observations about the rune system, though. It seems I often have more runes on Cool-Down than I used to, for longer periods of time. Since threat, and especially AoE threat is kind of scary right now, I think I prefer the old system better. However, I also understand that the changes were made in order to set us up for Cataclysm, and I believe at higher gear levels my runes will be on CD for shorter periods of time. I am keeping Phlam Blood for the time being, and will probably gear him for DPS once I am of appropriate gear and am ready to start raiding. Yes, that will likely be after Cataclysm comes out.

Sublimation – Druid – Restoration: What can I say? Healing feels…weird. My druid has always been a Healer first and a feral kitty (or the occasional bear) second. I haven’t even filled in the dual spec on this toon yet. Actually on any toon except doomed. Probably because all my gems are now intellect, everything feels bulky and heavy. Nourish, which historically has been my favorite heal to help out anyone taking more damage than I was comfortable with is now something like 2.2 seconds or so. THAT IS FOREVER! I actually started casting, prepared and fully roasted a turkey, and the cast went off right when I got back. I still have enough mana to blanket a five or 10 man with the appropriate rejuvs and not run into mana issues, Lifebloom on one target bites. I continually forget to turn into a tree because I am a creature of habit and it hasn’t ingrained itself to my memory yet. And I dumped Grid in favor of Vuhdo. Do I like my druid better? Meh. I like my druid but in a different way now. I don’t know how to explain it, but it is weird, I am going to put together a 10 man ICC this weekend and plan on healing it. We will see.

Doomedcow – Warrior – Protection/Fury: This one is my baby (AKA Main). Protection (main spec) is giving me a little trouble. By that, I mean, DPS not waiting is giving me some trouble. First, if you haven’t read Panzercow’s post today, then you should. Vengeance is there with a vengeance. Seriously, if you are DPS, please understand that any tank needs ramp up time. Ok, that is done. Tanking is still a blast, I love it, and my raid killed Lich King again last night, with the 30 stacks achievement, so it can be done (I died, thank goodness for a good bear tank being there with us). Also, a GREAT observation made by the Panzercow, if the fight is a tank switching fight (Festergut, DBS), then the OT does not have any stacks of vengeance and can easily be overtaken by the other tank (this happened on the dogs, twice before we realized that is what was going on).  Snap aggro, especially AoE feels clunky, I am getting back into the habit of tab targeting, but it still is causing some issues. Though I do love me some blood and thunder. I have 2 points in incite right now, but will be taking those out soon. My crit just isn’t high enough, and i can’t spam Heroic strike enough to make it worth while. Oh, getting out of the Heroic Strike spam mind frame has taken some time too. Still, though I am saying negative things, I love what they are doing with tanking and the whole raiding scene as a whole. Fury is a blast too. More cool downs to watch, still decent DPS (27% hit?), lots of fun stuff to do, all the while cleaving faces off. I really am having a good time as fury. I don’t even miss single target whirlwind anymore. Doomed will stay my main through cataclysm, i just hope for a little bit more AoE aggro generation. Also, I am one achievement away from the Blood Bathed Skeleton Bony Drake Thing for 10 man. CANNOT WAIT! Heroic Rotface is the last one I need. Don’t ask me how I got all other achievements except that one…I really don’t know.

Buffs: The only thing I can say is this, while it is taking some time for me to remember what buffs overwrite other buffs and such, I really like the idea that different classes/specs provide the same buffs. Makes it easier to ensure the raid is fully supported, and not stymied because we are missing a priest (for example).

Auction House: Other than auctioneer broke for long enough that I had to start using AuctionLite, and QA developer shadowed quit making addons and I had to go to Auction Profit Master, I am loving what is happening in the AH right now. I don’t talk about it too much here, but I am a big AH PvPer. I love playing the Auction House, and I have almost all professions maxed out and able to provide me with something or another to make money. I think Auction Profit Master probably has 50 or 60 rules in place helping me post lots of auctions. People are spending money like crazy right now.

Overall Impressions: I really like most of the changes. Sure, there is a learning curve to all classes and specs right now, but still, learning new things makes old things fresh. 100g dual spec is making me really happy, though I haven’t actually purchased it yet, since 4 of my 5 80’s already are dual specced (and honestly, nobody wants a resto warlock anyway), but I will definitely be taking advantage of that. I am bummed that the ICC mounts are not 310% anymore, as I still think most people are still not going to be able to breeze through the achievements, but I guess since you can now buy 310% it is ok. Thank goodness I have a 310 from 10 Ulduar.

Wow, wall of text I guess.

Overbusy Much?

Many long days have passed from darkness to light.

And that, ladies and gentlemen is the end of my RP career.

Ok, so I alluded in the last couple quick posts to how busy I have been. And I think normal readers know that I post as often as I can, but work gets in the way occasionally. Also, my baby girl (4 years old) had a really nasty case of pretty much every sickness known to man. Thanks public school system. I can’t be mad at them though, it is bound to happen. I ended up having to take a week off work and spent most of each day trying to get her to eat/drink, and holding her to comfort her. It was really sad. BTW, a kid with a temperature of 101-104, is frigging hot to hold. Ok, this isn’t a parenting blog.

In between work and kid. I actually have gotten a bit of wowing in. Or at least have gotten a lot done in the wow career of my druid and my hunter.

Some of you may recall I have a druid who was stuck at level 38 for a really really long time. I think something like 6 or 7 months passed since the last time I played the druid. I just got tired of questing in the old world, it sucks. So, I made a pact. I would level from 38-58 doing nothing but BG and a few power runs through instances if a guildy wanted to do it for achievs. It took me hardly any time at all to get those levels. I have almost all the WSG, AB achievements, I now have the Black War Raptor (which is a completely bad ass mount BTW). Because my intent is to heal on the druid at end game, I went into the BGs as a healer. This has caused me to have to learn to hotkey and heal under extreme circumstances. I did run at level 45 ZF, and ST with a regular group. At first I was really nervous about the healing thing, but when I realized how much slower paced and easier it is to heal an instance than a BG, I felt better.

I also Dual Specced Feral. For a while I was kitty centric, but really was not enjoying the energy mechanic, so I started playing a bit with the bear form. I liked it enough to respec a little bit to be more bear friendly, and am now cruising through Zangarmarsh pulling oodles of mobs and destroying everything. I still bust out heals when I go into BGs, but leveling Prot on my druid for the last levels is proving to be fun. Druid is almost 65 now, has done all the quests in HFP, and maybe 20 or 30 in Zangarmarsh.

The hunter has also been busy, but mostly only for raiding. We are consistently clearing to Soggy Yoggy, but we are unable to pass phase 2. We just cannot clear the damn place.

We have attempted to zerg OS10+3 and can get Sartherion to 10% before she goes immune.

Tried doing some 25 stuff with a sister guild. They are a good group, but not as geared or as progressed or as experienced in raiding. OS25+1 was easy. Ony25 did not happen, we wiped several times, the problem was retarded ass PUGs.

Finally got Crusader Title from the Argent Tournament. Then promptly purchased the awesome dragonhawk. Then Stopped doing the dailies so I can concentrate on the druid. I will go back to being good about dailies once Druid hits 80 and starts raiding/heroicing. The good thing about getting the Crusader Title, it comes with 2 titles and 5 achievements. Which is a good time.

I kind of suspended my AH experiment with the alliance  pets. I found that it will work to do it, but I really wanted my DK back on Horde side, so I deleted Alliance DK and created Horde DK. I ended up making a couple grand on the pets, books of glyph mastery, but…it was just taking up too much time, and I was camping the AH. My druids Inscription/Herbalism and my Warlocks Alchemy are pulling in shit tons of gold so I will just keep doing that.

I think that is about it as far as all the really big deal cool things. Yes I do have ADD with alts by the way, but now that the druid is over 60, he will be my main until 80. I only have 16 levels left…

Warrior, stagnate.

Mage, stagnate.

Pally, stagnate.

Priest, shammy, other priest, warlock all stagnate.

But I work on them sometimes…

DPS Meme

I love memes, not because they inspire truly thought provoking blog content, but for two other very important reasons.

  1. 1) They link the blogging community together and create a webring of sorts.
  2. 2) I don’t have to come up with original content, I just answer some questions. This last couple weeks have been crazy with work and kid sickness…so good timing Zarii, otherwise there would probably not be a post today.

On a lighter note, I should be back to my normal posting schedule next week. The kid is done with whatever nastiness she had, and I am finally getting caught up from the week I had to take off work to take care of her.

So…Inward and onward to the Meme!!

Started over at and I was tagged by Karii  over at Zarii and Me.

What is the name, class, and spec of your primary dps?

Sfcnez, Hunter, Survival (/cry).

What is your primary dpsing environment? (i.e. raids, pvp, 5 mans)

Primarily 10 mans with the occasional 25 thrown in, I don’t have a lot of time to PUG 5 mans so I only do those sporadically.

What is your favorite dps spell/ability for your class and why?

There is a lot of synergy with the SV class. Explosive shot is more powerful with Black Arrow, Steady shot is more powerful with serpent sting (serpent sting crits now FTW ! ❤ 2 piece T9). I am going to have to say the combination, when factors are right of Lock and Load/Sniper Training/Explosive Shot damage starts cranking when you are doing all that correctly.

What dps spell do you use least for your class and why?

Not being a PVP guy usually, I will say… Wing Clip. It just sits there. When I am chain dueling to master my skills, it gets used, but that is pretty infrequent. Oh, this says DPS spell…well in SV spec Arcane Shot never gets used, so that one. In BM it is Aimed shot, but I haven’t been specced BM in so long, I cannot remember why I did not spec into it.

What do you feel is the biggest strength of your dps class and why?

We provide Strudels…I am jsut kidding, though I did provide some strudels to our healer last night, but that is OT. I just happened to have some in my bag. Later on I also resurected someone with my gnomish army knife. Talk about utility.

Seriously though, we are decent at CC even though it is not used so much anym0re. A well played SV will destroy a target with great burst damage. Currently two of our top three damage producing raiders in my guild are SV hunters. So I will say damage is the biggest strength.

What do you feel is the biggest weakness of your dps class and why?

The obvious answer is melee damage. For the most part, it is easy to avoid needing to do it, but when it comes up, it is pitiful. Really, though for what we do, we do well. Ranged DPS.

In a 25 man raiding environment, what do you feel, in general, is the best dps assignment for you?

oooh, really this is situation dependant…Ony? Keep Black arrow/Serpent Sting up and help with elites. VoA, Spam shot priority and stay out of shit you aren’t supposed to stand in.

What dps class do you enjoy dpsing with most and why?

Probably shaman…Bloodlust drives my damage done through the roof. Pallys in general for kings (OMG KINGS RAGE).

What tanking class do you enjoy dpsing with least and why?

I like them all, all three of our rotating tanks in our 10/25 content are warriors and they are great. I haven’t really been with a DK or Pally tank in a while. Though at one point out DPS DK had to turn on Frost presense for an emergency pick up, he did ok, but…well he is not a tank. I think maybe Druid tank, just because I rarely see them anymore.

What is your worst habit as a dps?

My tendency to watch the GCD and CD timers on my shots and mouse click instead of keybind. Those two things combined slow me down some I think.

What is your biggest pet peeve in a group environment while dpsing?

I really don’t mind wipes if we are progressing, but when we are continually wiping because of the same mistakes, I get irritated.

Do you feel that your class/spec is well balanced with other dps?

What tools do you use to evaluate your own performance as a damage dealer?

Recount. Though to keep myself from being a DPS whore, I keep it from showing during combat. I do a quick peek in between encounters to check it out, so I can see if I am missing something rediculous. I usually use it though to compare the shot by shot damage done with the other hunter I raid with. This helps me adjust after the raid my stats if need be. For example for a long time My steady shot was doing more damage than my explosive shot, whereas his was the other way around. This enticed me to talk to him, we looked over gear and found I had been stacking the wrong gem. (+agi FTW BTW) Recount is what parsed that together for me and made me ask the question.

What do you think is the biggest misconception people have about your class?

Hunters are not facerolllol anymore. There is a lot of shot prioritization that goes on. Also, we are not all Huntards.

What do you feel is the most difficult thing for new dpsers of your class to learn?

Proper shot prioritization, how not to pull aggro, and most importantly, don’t clip the last tick of your Explosive Shot. That last one actually takes some practice.

What dps class do you feel you understand least?

I have an 80 Warlock that I just can’t seem to slam dps out of. It really frustrates me, since I loved gringing levels with it throughout the leveling process. I think it is because I use her as a fancy alchemist more than a raider. It is sad. Poor thing. I have played I think all of the DPS classes to at least level 20 I like melee, just havent hit 80 with one. Though my healing druid will love having a feral spec once i make a little more gold.

What add-ons or macros do you use, if any, to aid you in dps?

to aid in DPS? Power Auras to tell me when my black arrow and Serpent sting expire or are dispelled, and Mics Scrolling Battle Text to tell me when Lock and Load procs.

The only Macro I use is my opening send in pet, cast hunter’s mark, start auto shot macro. Everything else is old fashioned.

And while it does not assist with DPS, I love Spartan UI.

Strength over other stats or balanced stat allocation, and why?

Agi, Agi, Agi…can’t have too much.

I choose REPGRIND and RtD.

Sometimes work gets in the way

I always have things to do at work. However, I am not so busy usually, that I cannot take a few minutes to post a blog. These last two days have been extremely hectic though and I have barely even had the chance to play WoW, let alone post about it.

So, what have I been doing on the AH? Various things. I am making a killing buying and reposting greater cosmic essences as lesser cosmic essences. I have also taken to purchasing Books of Glyph Mastery and reselling them to the Alliance at sometimes 300% price increase.

Also, my epic gems are going like crazy. I no sooner get them posted then someone is buying them. I actually don’t mind not being able to make enough gems…

I am getting really paranoid about the whole Hallowed thing. I am exactly one sinister squashling away from getting “the Hallowed” achiev, I do the dailies every day and I trick or treat as much as is humanly possible. I have received more wands than any hunter should ever have in his inventory, but no friggin sinister squash…and I have only seen one drop off the horseman, which I lost the roll for.

My hunter gear is moving up nicely, It is great running around with a group that consists of me as a hunter and one other player that either DPSes with his hunter, heals with his druid, or Tanks with his Warrior. He is also slightly more geared than I am on his hunter so usually I get the gear when it drops. Razor’s Edge did drop off Lord J last night, but I lost the roll to a DK. 😦

Vanddora pretty much just does transmutes and flasks for me, so her warlocky ass is still in iLevel 200 stuff.

We will finally kill Yogg tonight. He is the last boss in all content that we need to down. Then we move to H10ToCr and hardmodes in Ulduar.

ok, gotta run, little one needs to have her ears checked out. I think it might be an ear infection.

Day 2: Stagnation

Is that even a word?

So, none of my pet auctions have sold after those first 2. I was raiding last night, and since my time is limited every night I did not get the opportunity to do much auctioning. Plus my alliance toon was killed by one of my guildies. She did not know it was me…more on that later.

I had farmed a Leaping Hatchling from Takk the Leper Leaper. I sent it to my wife and asked her to put it on the nuetral auction house so I could sell it to those alliance pukes since it goes for about twice as much on their AH than mine. Well…long story short, she accidentally right clicked it and learned it instead of mailed it. That was a quick 700 gold lost. But no worries. I blame it on her pregnancy. 🙂

I have been purchasing small amounts of Frost Lotus, as it seems there is never much more than about 5 or 6 auctions on the alliance side and there are a lot on the horde side. I will be putting those up tonight to see how they fare over the weekend. They should pull in about 20 Gold Profit on each one.

So about the raid.

My guild is pretty much rocking things right now. We started late due to half the raid works with each other and they had to work late. No worries, there is halloween stuff and such to do. We had 3 hours scheduled to clear the Siege area and Kologarn. Well since we started late we only had 2 hours. We cleared All siege with no deaths, a bugged Kolo with 1 wipe and no deaths on the next one. Freya with no deaths, Thorim with no deaths and took a quick shot at Iron Counsel since we did not have time to get through the trash and attempt Hodir. Next week we are going to start doing the achievements since this stuff is going so quick now. Also, we accidentally got the achievement for killing Razor douche without him taking off more than once. That was not planned but was definitely a great achievement to get.

Kologarn bugging was kind of a drag. We were attempting to do the “no arm kill” achievement. Well Kolo was picking us up and would not put us down basically crushing each of us to death. The arm would not take damage. And he single-handedly crushed us one at a time. I was the last one. I basically stopped DPSing and let him take me. It was sad. On attempt two, we were a little overzealous and destroyed his arm. No worries.

So, why did my guildy kill my alliance toon? Well I was in Booty Bay scanning the AH and she was in a group raiding Booty Bay. She sees a level 58 Alliance and killed me in about as much time as it took me to say “hey that’s my guildy”. I logged onto my hunter, joined group, chided her relentlessly, and proceeded to FINALLY get Bloodsail Admiral. It goes so much faster with a group of five, one of which was a dedicated healer.

I think I need to do this one more time and get exalted with Bloodsail Admiral, I just think that one would be cool to be exalted with. I am not even sure you can do it by killing Booty Bay Bruisers. I will have to research it.

I will post screenshots later. I kind of forgot to email them to my work address.

I love my new title BTW, I don’t usually sport any titles, but I showed up to my raid wearing all my pirate regalia, created a new outfit on outfitter, and had my helm on display with the little parrot out. Speaking of which, it would be epic if The parrot /say everything you said in true parrot fashion.

Ok, gotta go to the last meeting of the week. I will see you all on Monday, hopefully I will be able to update you with tales of multiple hundreds of gold made over the weekend.

Happy Hunting.

General Vezax is Dead

That’s right ladies and gents, we killed the big bad general. After one wipe, then a quick assessment and slight strategy adjustment, the fight clicked and we had what I would call a near perfect kill. Nobody died, and he went down in about 8 and a half minutes.

I got Hopender which makes me slower but much more agile. There was a 14 AP drop but a large agi and Armpen buff, after I put +20 Agi gem and massacre on that bad boy, I am styling. My last staff looked cooler though. I now am way over hit cap. Which is irritating since I have no Hit gems or enchants. Meh, it will work itself out. I am also going to save the last staff for a while…just in case.

After Gen we of course went on to battle Sara and Yoggy. Our first attempt we lasted about 18 seconds. I am not exaggerating, it was a fast wipe. A few wipes later we were making it to 2d phase, but kept running into issues. I think there was just a lot going on and some people were not really sure what they were supposed to do. Plus those damned constrictor arms kept reaching up and getting us. It was really irritating.

We debated extending again, but decided it would be better to start over again and get the badges. This week promises Ony, 10ToC, 10 Uld, and other such fun.

I finally got exalted with the sunreavers, but was unable to do the new quests last night, since I was busy getting trounced at chutes and ladders by my 3 year old earlier in the evening, and I had to go raid. Small price to pay IMO since my daughter not only beat me, but also my wife (and I promise we did not let her win). Little one was gloating all night. She also pulled the ol’ “Daddy since I won  at Chutes and Ladders, can I watch you raid?” I asked her to explain why those two go together and she was unable to so I tucked her in. She is going to be a force to reckon with and I already feel bad for her future husband (she can start dating at 42).

Also picked up the quest for the blue ladies and for the first time in months did not get to complete the quest since again, it was raid time. The intent was to go do it after Ulduar, but it was late when I logged off. I will hit it today after lunch. I hope, like fine wine, it is getting better and better, and I expect to get the mount this afternoon. Emergency post will follow if I get it.

Ok, I rambled a lot. I was pretty stoked about killing that big ass General and I am pleased with my first week in a new guild.

I am in love

With my new guild.

That’s right ladies and gents, I have left my last guild and moved to a smaller guild where I am guaranteed a raiding slot several times a week, at better times for me. And we have already progressed further than the last guild I was in.

(I think one of them raids nekkid though).

So, late last week I posted about our tribulations with Mimiron. We were having problems getting the last 20ish percent of phase 4 down. Well, after one wipe on Sunday we downed him with 100% of our raid members still alive and kicking.

Just for the record, nothing makes me happier in game than beating a boss who has caused us problems.

We moved on to General V-dizzle which is (reportedly) an easier boss. However, when nobody had been there, there is a learning curve that generally mandates 5 or 8 wipes. We were unable to knock him down last night, but will give it another go tonight before the raid resets.

I spent 1300 Gold on Engineering leveling from 426-450, just so I can make Jeeves. And now I cannot afford mats. This is irritating, but a chore I have meant to finish for a while. Oh, BTW, I now have 2 Wormhole generators, one of which is for sale (pst if interested). I think I made several hundred Gnomish Army Knives.

Another irritating thing is, in order to recoup some of my costs, I want to sell some of the high end engineering guns, namely Nessingwary 4k, and the Armor plated shotgun. However there are none on the AH and I do not know if this is a profitable endeavor. Since I am broke, it will be hard for me to justify the expense. But I need money, so I will probably try it out. Probably going to go with the Armor plated shotgun since it seems to me Warrior tanks trying to get a good baseline set will want to start with that.

As for my dilemma about bringing my warlock into the Siege area of Ulduar. It seems my fears were for naught. I talked to the new GM and the consensus is:

1) Mains only for progression

2) Main Spec on Main toon > Main Spec on Alt Toon

3) Main Spec on Alt Toon > Alt Spec on Main toon (usually)

Basically, this means I will be bringing my Alt in for The Siege and will be transferring her out for the hunter when we hit kolo, or maybe crazy cat lady. I, being the good person I am will have my hunter pres-taged outside Ulduar so there will be limited down time. Literally, less than a minute to log out/log in/zone in/tele-port/get buffs/pwn.

So all in all, I am quite enamored with this group of dudes/ettes, and I look forward to killing more shit with them.

Mimiron is a bitch

I posted once about going in to fight 10 Mimiron. I am pretty sure I told you a successful story about me getting my Tier 8 Helm. It was a good story.

Fast forward several weeks/months. I have stopped and started raiding again. I am loving it. I pug with the same group every week (does that qualify as a PUG?). We all do pretty decent DPS, top 3 (yours truly included :P) push really close to 4k through all the fights (not the best ever, but defintely not bad), and the rest of the DPS is in the low-mid 3k range very consistently.

We can clear FL, XT, Razordouche, and ignis the raging hemmorhoid in about 45 minutes, Kolo is a joke, and Thorim, Hodir, Freya, crazy cat lady are now old news for us. This week was our first attempt at Mim. I expected a couple wipes. But we have been raiding together for about a month now three or four times each week, so we know eachother and our capabilities, plus I kind of like the bastards. I expected a killed Mim. About 3 hours and who knows how much gold later we called it and decided to try again on Sunday.

It was GREAT raiding, don’t get me wrong, I loved watching us as a group progress from wiping on phase 1 to wiping on phase 2 to almost killing the guy in phase 4. We just could not get him down.

Let me clarify, I am in no way upset, just a little astounded that I was able to down him as a straight PUG, and was unable to in a group who does better DPS, is smarter and has raided together several times. No worries though, Sunday will find Mimiron dead and then we will at least be able to look at General fuck head and maybe the other douche and I really hope I get to make out with Sarah.

So…a quandry I am percolating through right now…

I have a level 80 Warlock (not mage), she is completely decked out it iLevel 200 gear from Naxx10 and I think some crafted stuff.  I do not have time to raid 2 raid IDs each week. I am seriously considering running through the first 4 or so bosses of Ulduar on her, then switch over to the ol’ hunter for the guys that will actually drop upgrades for me. I think this will work, I don’t mind being saved on two toons to the same raid ID. I am pretty sure the guys I raid with won’t mind. It just seems like it is too easy. Does anybody have experience doing it this way? Is there any way it won’t work?

My goal this weekend is to get in a group (level appropriate) and tank some stuff to start getting some experience with the sword and the board. I am looking forward to this. I think I will also run around on my mage a little bit. She was a lot of fun, but I think it will be difficult to go from wanting everything to beat on me (no euphemism there) to avoiding everything to include falling leaves and tripping over my shoelaces. My Warlock is obviously a clothy, but she had pets and more importantly, she could tank like a champ with the gaining health frim Corruption.

Ok, this has gone on long enough and I have to get to work.

Brewfest is over…basically

So I know, brewfest is not technically over until about midnight-ish tonight server time. I know a few people out there, frantically are killing Corin over and over, and galloping till the little racing ram’s feet are bleeding, attempting to eek out those last few coins…Good luck to all of you.

I got the Brewmaster title for my two 80’s and I have two of my other characters ready for it next year, and they are members of the Brew of the Month Club, which is awesome. By the way, if you drink enough of this months Autumn Nut Beer, squirrels will come and throw nuts at you, it is quite amusing.

This last week has been hectic. I was on leave (that means vacation to you non-military folk), and had my parents visiting, so I barely had time to do the Brewfest dailies, but no worries, I still had a blast.

I have updated this infrequently and there is nothing I can say that will change that. I do promise though to keep updating sporadically as there is a lot on my RL plate right now. I am trying to build a bar in my garage and other such cool things. Plus work keeps interfering.

I dropped about 1700 gold this afternoon on dual spec and glyphs and I finally broke down and purchased some epic gems in an attempt to make my DPS comparable to comparably geared hunters. Starting now, I am full swing back into raiding. No more slacking for me. That being said, the ridiculous pittance of coin received for doing low level quests is really disturbing. I have got to get better about the AH and making money that way, since it is my intent to get Loremaster now so I can say I did it when it was hard :P.

I started the grind for Bloodsail Admiral…Need to finish that bad boy up pretty soon.

I am really disappointed with the Beast Master buff we received this last patch.

Still have yet to kill Ony.

Did get to Hodir on a fresh run through Ulduar to include Ignis and the crazy cat lady.

Got enough badges to pick up a neck and belt (iLevel 226).

Still have not been able to figure out RAWR to help me with the gemming and enchanting (though there is a smart hunter in my guild who has talked me through a lot of it) (I know, smart hunter?)

My next post will be a very helpful guide. I will probably post it in about 15 minutes or less.

I love pizza.

Sorry Arioch…

You know Arioch, it is not usual for me to write a post directly to someone, but since yours was one of, if not the first Blog I read about WoW, I feel I owe you an apology.

I did not want to do it, I really didn’t. I almost passed when it dropped. I know you feel you had to cheat and you might feel inadequate because of it. I hope you know your post inspired me.

That’s right. The Brewfest Ram is mine. I felt really bad when the achievement popped up and said how awesome I was. I almost cried with sorrow when my entire guild sounded a chorus of congratulations to me.

It was painful running around Ogrimmar jumping off things and spinning around yelling WOOOOOOOT! I think I cried a little last night. All. Because. Of. You.
